The Greene County Department of Social Services is reminding residents that as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the state has initiated a third round of the Home Energy Assistance Program benefits through June 30. The third round can only be accessed after first and second round regular and emergency HEAP benefits have been exhausted. The program is open to households in a heat or heat-related energy emergency and who meet the eligibility guidelines.
