Winter forecast is slightly wetter and warmer

The National Weather Service has released its long-term winter outlook, which is slightly warmer and wetter this year. "Above-average temperatures are favored across the South and most of the eastern U.S. as La Nina climate conditions have emerged for the second winter in a row according to NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center," the National Weather Service reports. "Wetter-than-average conditions are anticipated across portions of the Northern U.S.," and they are also predicting slightly higher temperatures in New York and the rest of the eastern seaboard this winter.
