Grand jury meets about police shooting

Sep 28, 2017 2:45 pm
Kenneth C. Crowe II reports in the Albany Times Union that the paper believes the two Troy detectives assigned to a fatal April 2016 Troy police shooting "appeared to testify" Sept. 28 before a Rensselaer County grand jury investigating District Attorney Joel Abelove’s handling of the police shooting investigation. The office of Attorney General Eric Schneiderman obtained permission in late August to hear testimony at a grand jury that has been moved to the Rensselaer city courtroom instead of the Rensselaer County Court House in Troy. Abelove's offices are across the hall from the third-floor jury room in the county courthouse. Read the full story in the Albany Times Union.
