LaPorta discussed Claverack College with Rob Gelles in an interview recorded Apr. 7, 2020. The college, also known as Washington Seminary and Hudson River Institute, was a co-educational boarding school located in the town of Claverack, Columbia County. It was open from 1779 until 1902.
