Doron Tyler Antrim in The Daily Mail reports that Hannaford's public hearing before the Cairo Planning Board is now on for 7 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Acra Community Center, Old County Route 23, a bit south of State Road 23. In August, the plan to tear down the current Slater's Great American store and rebuild a Hannaford's was granted a negative declaration on the environmental impact assessment (SEQR). A 6,000-square-foot shopping center for the plaza’s existing tenants would be built first away from the proposed grocery store under the plan. Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
