Cuomo tries to sway Working Families Party

Cuomo appeared at the Working Families convention via video feed.[/caption]Jimmy Vielkind in Capital New York reports that New York Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo brokered an agreement with the Working Families Party late Saturday night to win support. Reportedly, this includes Cuomo creating a $10 million campaign fund to be used to flip the state Senate into Democratic hands. Currently, Cuomo has quietly backed five rogue Democratic state senators, the Independent Democratic Conference, who are siding with Republicans. Other reports indicate Cuomo will now back a $10.10 mininimum wage, and give more robust support to the DREAM Act. Read the full story in Capital New York.
