Kingston turns on charging stations

Sep 28, 2018 12:03 pm
Paul Kirby reports in the Daily Freeman that Kingston has turned on three electric vehicle charging stations in municipal parking lots in the city. “We’ve made great progress in our efforts to build a sustainable, resilient community, and this is yet another step in the right direction,” said Mayor Steve Noble. The two-car charging stations are in the lots on Dock Street, Cornell Street, and next to the visitors center in the Rondout district. Users don't pay, but they cost taxpayers $47,971 to purchase, install, and operate. The city hopes to install three more charging stations next year. Read the full story in the Daily Freeman.
