Greenville considers switching humane societies
Dec 14, 2016 12:03 am
Audrey Matott reports in The Greenville Pioneer that Greenville will decide later this month whether to move from the Columbia Greene Humane Society to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, as the former is getting too costly. "Last year it was $305 if the town turned over a dog, now it's $650, that more than double," Town Councilperson Greg Davis said. Supervisor Paul Macko said he would do more research about Albany-based Mohawk, which is just a mile further from Greenville than the Columbia County-based human society.
