Delgado selected chair of House Agriculture Subcommittee

The Daily Freeman is reporting U.S. Rep. Antonio Delgado has been appointed chairman of the House Agriculture Subcommittee on Commodity Exchanges, Energy and Credit. The subcommittee oversees all policies relating to commodity exchanges, agricultural credit, rural development, energy and rural electrification. The Rhinebeck Democrat said in a prepared statement the subcommittee focuses on the issues that matter most to communities throughout the 19th Congressional District, including broadband internet expansion, infrastructure revitalization, renewable energy production, and rural economic development and loan programs. Delgado is now serving his second term in the U.S. Congress. He said he is honored to serve as chairman of the subcommittee and looks forward to advocating for farmers and producers.
