Greenville Republicans nominate Dudley for highway supervisor

Jun 09, 2019 11:43 pm
Melanie Lekocevic reports for the Greenville Pioneer that Greenville Republicans nominated Michael Dudley for highway superintendent, with 85 votes, with 20 votes for new candidate Clifton Drollette, and 11 votes for incumbent Terry Williams. Many other incumbents got nominations including Town Supervisor Paul Macko, Councilpersons John Bensen and Joel Rauf, and Town Clerk Jackie Park. The highway superintendent election got more attention after Williams was accused in July 2018 of stealing diesel fuel and gasoline from the town highway department, according to state police. Williams was charged with official misconduct and petty larceny, both class A misdemeanors, in what remains an open case. Read more about this story in the Greenville Pioneer.
