Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Middle School will be holding a student cooking competition on May 11 at 3 p.m. The cook-off is the culmination of an after-school nutrition education series offered by Capital Region Eat Smart New York Program and Cornell Cooperative Extension. Some of the students participating in the cook-off joined guest host Pete Lievense in the Carnegie Room of the Catskill Library on the air May 10 – along with Molly Jennes (Teacher of Family and Consumer Sciences at Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Middle School) and Sara LaFountain (Association Community Educator for Capital Region Eat Smart New York Program) – to talk about the cook-off, healthy eating, and opportunities for nutrition education in our local schools.
