Andrea Macko reports for Porcupine Soup that a wildfire burned 13 acres of woods and brush in Cairo on Nov. 10. The Cairo Hose Company responded along with other firefighters from Round Top, East Durham, Oak Hill-Durham, Greenville, Kiskatom, Leeds, and Freehold to the blaze near 371 Roosevelt Avenue. One firefighter was treated at the scene for heat exhaustion, but no one else was hurt and no structures caught fire. Read more about this story at Porcupine Soup.
