Hudson schools treasurer to retire in January

Jeanette Wolfberg is reporting in The Columbia Paper Florence Stickles, long-time Hudson City School District treasurer, has announced she will retire in January. Stickles has served the district for 28 years. Stickles is a graduate of Germantown High School and Columbia-Greene Community College. She joined the school district as a tax collector in 1988, after a brief tenure with Key Bank. Stickles said in an interview last month, “I was a young kid when I came. I learned a lot.” She said the best thing about working for the Hudson schools was the “family atmosphere.” Stickles plans to spend her retirement traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
