New Jersey man dies in Hunter skiing accident
Rosa Acheson is reporting in The Daily Mail Hunter Mountain Ski Center has reported the second fatality in a month at the resort following a skiing accident, Mon., Mar. 6. Zachary T. Thompson, 20, from Cream Ridge, New Jersey, lost control on Racers Edge, an expert-level, double-black diamond trail, late Monday morning. State police Senior Investigator Pete Kusminsky said based on interviews with people who knew Thompson, it was likely he was skiing above his experience level. Thompson lost control and slid off the trail, striking several trees. The incident is being treated as an accidental fall; foul play is not suspected, police said. On February 8, a 58-year-old man from Warwick, New York, died after he lost control while skiing on another double-black diamond slope at Hunter. Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
