The National Weather Service in Albany issued a Winter Weather Advisory for freezing rain from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wed., Nov. 23 for Western Greene County and a few surrounding areas. Freezing rain and icy roads are forecast for the Northern Catskills, Western Greene and Western Albany Counties and the Berkshires. Accumulation is expected to be light, but the National Weather Service alert warns of icy, slick roads and winds gusting up to 30 mph.
