Columbia, Greene counties receive communications funding

MidHudson News is reporting that the state has announced the latest round of funding for counties to improve the operability of emergency communications statewide. The state of New York has awarded $472 million to municipalities over nine rounds since December 2011. The latest round includes funding for Hudson Valley and Catskills counties as follows: Columbia ($454,700); Dutchess ($558, 300); (Greene ($488,000); Rockland ($772, 800); Ulster ($540,600); and, Westchester ($681,500).
