Senate ethics committee hasn't met since 2009

Casey Seiler in Capitol Confidential reports that once again this year, the state Senate’s Standing Committee on Ethics has not met. The committee has not met since 2009. When the committee last met it was chaired by former Sen. John Sampson, who will be sentenced for federal crimes in a few weeks. Recently the Republican leader of the state Senate, and the Democratic leader of the Assembly, were sentenced to prison on corruption charges.
