H. Rose Schneider reports in the Altamont Enterprise that Gregory Bischoff is back again as town justice in Rensselaerville after being appointed this week at an emergency town board meeting after the death of 51-year-old Judge Ronald Bates a week before. Bischoff was approved 4-0, with Supervisor John Dolce absent. “I wanted to help out and couldn’t leave Judge [Muriel] Frasher by herself,” Bischoff said.
