Jeanette Wolfberg is reporting for The Columbia Paper Montgomery C. Smith Elementary School in Hudson will soon have a renovated auditorium. Schools Superintendent Maria L. Suttmeier announced August 20, the elementary school's concert hall is now closed until mid-November. The old seats have been removed and will be replaced, but before the new seats can be installed, the auditorium must undergo asbestos abatement and painting. The contractor is expected to install the seats by mid-November, just in time for the space to be ready for the annual holiday concerts. The district has new audiovisual equipment on order, as well.
