Hundreds protest idea of mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations

Jill Konopka is reporting for wnyt [dot] com hundreds of people rallied in Albany June 13, for the freedom to choose and the right to refuse a COVID-19 vaccine once they are available. Protesters gathered in front of the Executive Mansion, sending that message to Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Bar Association. "We will not be a lab rat for any company. Any vaccine company, Governor Cuomo. We refuse,” said protestor Kaycie Kimberlin. Another protestor Wendy Ratcliffe says she is not against all vaccines, just that there is not much known about them. The Health Law Section of the New York State Bar Association in May, released an 89-page report recommending a mandatory COVID-19 vaccine for all residents. It also called on the state Department of Health to adopt uniform standards for allocating ventilators and personal protective equipment. The bar association met virtually to discuss the report on Saturday, but tabled any action pending further study, until November. Read the full story at wnyt [dot] com.
