U.S. Representative Scott Murphy (D-NY 20) announced a $16,306 grant through the USDA’s Rural Energy for America Program for Raymond Wendover of Pine Plains to purchase a Bergey Excel 10kW class wind turbine. The project is expected to generate 12,836 kW per year covering 101 percent of the business’ energy costs.
