Aug 21, 2018 11:47 am
Bethany Bump reports for the Albany Times Union that on Aug. 20 New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed a bill banning smoking in facilities that provide child care. In 90 days there will no longer be smoking at state-run facilities and private facilities licensed or registered to provide child care services, even when children are not present. "The dangers of second-hand smoke are indisputable and we must do everything in our power to protect children from this public health hazard and the life-long misery that comes with it," Cuomo said. "This measure will bring us one step closer to a strong healthier New York for all." Read the full story in the Albany Times Union.
