WTEN reports that the Ulster County Legislature unanimously adopted the “Drag is Not a Crime Act” on July 18, to protect drag performers. I am grateful to those who gave public comment, sent emails, letters, and postcards, and called their legislator in favor of this law.” Recently the Woodstock Library held a drag story hour, which went on after the board mulled complaints that did not want the show to go on.
