Robert Downen is reporting the Times Union the Columbia County Sheriff's Office is requesting the public's help in finding a missing woman. Halle P. Schmidt, 21, of Pumpkin Hollow Road in Copake, was last seen Friday, Sept. 2, on Green Street in Greenport. Schmidt is white, 5-foot-7 and weighs about 125 pounds. She has green eyes and blond hair. When last seen she was wearing black jeans, a blue shirt, and blue Lacoste baseball. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Criminal Investigative Branch at (518) 828-4316 or (518) 828-3344.
