Mid-Hudson News reports that the September 2022 unemployment rate for the Hudson Valley Region was 2.8 percent, down from 3.5 percent in August, and down from 3.9 percent in September 2021, according to data reported by the State Labor Department. All counties in the Hudson Valley, with the exception of Greene and Delaware, recorded a jobless rate under 3 percent last month. The Columbia County rate decreased to 2.4 percent from 3 percent in August, while the September jobless rate in Greene County was 3.1 percent, down from 3.8 percent in August.
