Patricia Doxsey is reporting in the Daily Freeman more than half the people responding to U.S. Rep. Chris Gibson’s online survey on the proposed Iran nuclear deal support the congressman’s opposition to the plan. The Kinderhook Republican stated in a post on his Facebook page of the more than 4,000 people who took the survey, 55 percent supported his position while 42 percent indicated support for the proposed deal. Gibson said he is an original co-sponsor of a House resolution opposing the agreement that was signed July 14 between Iran, the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, Germany and the European Union. Congress began its 60-day review of the proposed pact, Mon., Aug. 3. Following that review, Congress can vote to accept or reject the deal, or do nothing. Read the full story in the Daily Freeman.
