Catskill police respond to speeders
Jul 29, 2019 9:34 pm
The Town of Catskill police department announced on Facebook July 29 that they are going to increase patrols looking for speeders on Grandview Avenue in the Village of Catskill. "After receiving complaints of speeders on Grandview Avenue in the Village of Catskill the Catskill Police Department has monitored the area and found that further specific enforcement is warranted. The Catskill Police Department will be conducting radar enforcement with zero tolerance, over the next three weeks on Grandview Avenue and sporadically there after. Other areas in the Village will be address as formal complaints arise and formal surveys conducted to substantiate the need for stricter enforcement," the Facebook statement read in part. At the July 17 Town of Catskill meeting, a resident complained about speeding on another Catskill street. Click HERE TO PLAY EXCERPT OF JULY 17 CATSKILL TOWN BOARD MEETING.
