The Daily Freeman reports that June 2019 unemployment rates in most mid-Hudson Valley counties were lower than the year before, according to state Department of Labor data released July 23. Columbia County's 2.8 percent rate was tied for lowest in the state, and down from 3.2 percent a year earlier. The 3.6 percent figure in in Greene County was down from 4.2 percent in June 2018. Statewide, the unemployment rate in June of 2019 was 3.8 percent, down from 4.1 percent in June 2018. Read more about this story in the Daily Freeman.
