Wire hangers found on church fence
Jun 13, 2019 1:45 pm
A street artist or activist group is thought to be responsible for a display of wire hangers found in front of the First Presbyterian Church of Hudson, June 10. The chain of white wire hangers dipped in red paint was strung on the wrought iron fence located on the Warren Street side of the church. It is unknown if similar displays were found at any other location in the city. As a symbol, the wire hanger is most commonly associated with self-induced abortions, and it has evolved into a symbol used by both pro-life and pro-choice advocates. Anyone with information about the display is encouraged to call 518-291-WGXC (9492) and leave a message with more details. Note: The WGXC Hudson Studio is housed on the ground floor of the First Presbyterian Church.
