Dutchess Dems endorse Berube for DA

MidHudsonNews [dot] com is reporting former Dutchess County senior assistant district attorney Richard Berube has been endorsed by the Dutchess County Democratic Committee to run against his former boss, Republican William Grady in November. “There are real problems with the way the DA’s office has been run, and Richard Berube has been on both the prosecutorial and defense sides, and is committed to seeing real justice done,” said County Democratic Chairwoman Elisa Sumner. Berube is a practicing attorney with a concentration in criminal defense and civil litigation. He is a U.S. Marine Corp. veteran and a graduate of Pace University School of Law. Berube was admitted to practice in New York in 2002. He previously served four years in the Dutchess DA office as a special DWI prosecutor. The Dutchess Democrats also endorsed Kenya Gadsden of Fishkill to challenge incumbent county clerk Republican Bradford Kendall. Gadsden is a former Beacon City School District Board vice president.
