Albany airport expanding, closing view

Mike DeSocio reports for the Albany Business Review that the Albany County Airport Authority is buying a little less than an acre of land on Sicker Road from Albany County for $90,000. The airport is hoping to expand slightly, to make more room for more aircraft parking for United Express carrier CommutAir. It also means the elimination of the cul-de-sac where visitors can now park and watch planes take off and land. That will cost $70,000 more. CommutAir has about 140 employees in Albany.
