The same day, Long, whose party has endorsed Faso, sent a letter telling Heaney to stop using “dishonest” tactics and saying Faso is a “courageous conservative stalwart.” Heaney's campaign replied, “if anyone should knock it off, it’s John Faso.” The primary election is June 28, with Will Yandik and Zephyr Teachout competing among Democrats.
