C-GCC improvement project wrapping up

W.T. Eckert reports in The Daily Mail, the two-year, $1.9 million Columbia-Greene Community College Capital Reinvestment Project is drawing to a close. Columbia and Greene counties provided a combined total of $950,000 for the project, while the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York financed the state's 50 percent share. College President James Campion recently reported to the C-GCC Education Committee the work accomplished, included: New roofs for the arts and technology buildings; repair of water-damaged ceilings and floors; some unanticipated asbestos abatement; repairs to the large, mechanical gym door; and, a complete renovation of the facility's plumbing system, and rehabilitation of the water tank.
