The Mid-Hudson News reports that Adele Reiter, the former interim Ulster County executive and chief of staff to former County Executive Michael Hein, was named interim county comptroller June 11. Reiter, who has also served as deputy county treasurer, will be comptroller through the end of the year. Both Republicans and Democrats backed Reiter for the temporary post.
