CMH awared $50K from HRBT for telemetry upgrade

The Columbia Memorial Health Foundation August 20, announced it has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the Hudson River Bank and Trust, or the HRBT Foundation. The funds provided will be used to upgrade Columbia Memorial Health's cardiac telemetry technology. The SPACELABS Telemetry System has been in use at CMH for several years. The system upgrade will provide improved real-time recognition of cardiac waveform changes and present the CMH medical team with an immediate notification of irregularities. The system will improve the hospital's ability to improve clinical outcomes with the acquisition and sharing of data within CMH, and allow providers remote access to patient data. The upgrade will also allow hospital staff to monitor patients on every unit, including the Emergency Department and Rapid Decision Unit. This was a need identified during the COVID-19 health crisis and will continue to improve the delivery of care into the future. Jay P.
