The Daily Freeman reports that all local counties except Delaware added jobs over the past year. Greene County added the most, 500 non-farm jobs or 3.4 percent, from November 2016 to November 2017, according to the state Department of Labor. Ulster County also added 500 jobs, while Columbia County added 300. Nonfarm jobs fell by 100 in Delaware County to 13,500. Statewide unemployment was 4.7 percent, dropping from 4.8 percent in October and 4.9 percent in November 2017, according to the Department of Labor statistics.
