Ulster County reaches tentative agreement with CSEA

The Daily Freeman is reporting Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan June 29, announced a tentative agreement with the Ulster County Civil Service Employees Association, the county government's largest labor union. Under the terms of the contract, employees represented by the CSEA would receive a 3.5 percent retroactive wage increase for 2020 and a 3.5 percent wage increase in 2021. In 2022, 2023 and 2024 employees would receive a 2 percent plus a 25-cents per hour wage increase. Members of the union ratified the agreement Monday. The county Legislature will vote on the deal at its July 20 meeting. Ryan said the contract reflects his commitment to support and recognize the hard work of the county's frontline workers who "stepped up" during the COVID-19 pandemic. CSEA Unit 8950 President J. Kirk Jones said the tentative agreement "reflects the members' hard work and dedication,” to the county.
