Andrew Cuomo has agreed to just one debate with his Democratic primary opponent Cynthia Nixon, Wed., Aug. 29 at Hofstra University on Long Island. The debate is sponsored by WCBS-TV in New York City, which will have a live webstream. The hour-long debate will have no opening or closing statements, just two-minute answers to questions, and one-minute rebuttals. “This time we were finally given the opportunity to debate but only by his rules, including no handshake,” Rebecca Katz, a close aide of Nixon, said.
