Cuomo wants more shared services

Tom Precious reports in The Buffalo News that Gov. Andrew Cuomo wants to make his shared services plan permanent. Earlier this year, Cuomo mandated that local communities at least research possibilities of sharing services between local municipalities. In January, Cuomo will propose making a version of that shared services plan permanent. "A bit more than half of the counties actually went through the process this year and came up with a range of mostly modest savings," the paper reports. Cuomo's "State of the State" speech will be Jan. 3, where he will unveil more plans for this proposal. Read the full story in The Buffalo News.
