Work progressing on Leeds sewer district project

Jim Planck is reporting in The Daily Mail the Catskill Town Board was updated on the Leeds sewer project at its regular meeting, Wed., Nov. 20, learning roadside archaeological test pits are set to begin. A representative of Delaware Engineering told board members the small diggings will be used to determine if any archaeological resources are located along the proposed route of the sewer mains. Past discussions have indicated that little, if anything, will be found. The roadsides were extensively dug up and disturbed during the 20th century. The required official map plan and report to form the sewer district are expected to be completed over the coming months. Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
