Hudson Common Council to vote on senior center

John Mason is reporting in the Register Star the Hudson Common Council will consider the city's lease agreement with the Galvan Foundation for the proposed senior center at a special meeting Mon., Oct. 7. The center is slated to be located in the Armory building located at Fifth and State streets. At the same meeting, the council will also consider the environmental review and a bond resolution for the proposed police/court building at 701 Union Street. Galvan Executive Director Daniel Kent said Wed., Oct. 3, a timetable for construction of the senior center has not been yet been determined, but the foundation is hoping to begin work in November and have it completed by July or August 2014.
