Columbia-Greene Media is reporting the New Lebanon Library has a new director. Moriah Sears was hired following three-month search and started work December 4. Sears grew up near Asbury Park, New Jersey, and moved with her family to South Carolina when she was in high school. She attended Southern Wesleyan University, majoring in English and psychology, and later earned her master's degree from the University of South Carolina. Sears taught English as a second language in South Korea for two years, served as a counseling specialist with a virtual charter school and was also the chief editor of her school's creative writing journal. “I am very excited to have Moriah on board as the new director of the New Lebanon Library,” said Dian Hobden, library vice president and chair of the Selection Committee. “She is young, enthusiastic and full of great ideas to make our already amazing library even better.” Read the full story at HudsonValley360 [dot] com.
