Hochul tests positive for COVID-19

Pete DeMola is reporting for the Times Union Gov. Kathy Hochul tested positive for COVID-19 on May 8. She made the announcement on Twitter. “Thankfully, I’m vaccinated and boosted, and I’m asymptomatic,” Hochul wrote. “I’ll be isolating and working remotely this week. A reminder to all New Yorkers: get vaccinated and boosted, get tested, and stay home if you don’t feel well.” The governor's diagnosis comes as multiple high-profile politicians have contracted the virus in recent weeks, including New York City Mayor Eric Adams and Vice President Kamala Harris.
