Gillibrand going to Iowa next weekend

Sources close to the Senator are reporting that she is taking a trip to Iowa next weekend — she intends to plan events and cultivate on-the-ground staffers in the first presidential caucus state. And Kenneth C. Crowe II and Diego Mendoza-Moyers are reporting for the Times Union representatives of the senator recently signed a lease on a 5,000-square-foot space in downtown Troy that could be used as a base for her campaign operations. Gillibrand has not formally announced her plans for 2020. She told CNN in December, "I'm definitely thinking about it, of course; I'm going to think about it over the holidays with my children and my husband, and I will make a decision soon."
