The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for much of the Hudson Valley from noon to 7 p.m. on Sept. 5. The heat advisory includes the Mohawk, Hudson, and Connecticut River valleys. Hot temperatures and high humidity are forecast and hot and humid conditions are expected to continue on Wednesday and Thursday, with additional heat advisories expected. Experts say to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room if possible, and stay out of the sun the next several days. See the National Weather Service website for more information.
