Paul Kirby is reporting in the Daily Freeman the application deadline for the Section 8 lottery in Ulster County is 4 p.m., Wed., Dec. 14. The affordable housing agency RUPCO runs the federally subsidized housing program locally. Applications are available at www [dot] RUPCO [dot] org, or at RUPCO's Kingston office at 289 Fair Street. RUPCO manages the voucher program in both Ulster and Greene counties. However, the current application round is for Ulster County vouchers only. RUPCO closed its Greene County lottery this past summer.
