Hospital raises money for 3D technology

The Daily Freeman reports that the 31st annual Hospital Ball May 25 raised $587,000 for the Columbia-Greene Hospital Foundation. An auction at the event at Catskill Point raised $180,000 towards Columbia Memorial hospital's purchase of 3D biopsy and mammography technology. Foundation Board Chairperson Patti Matheney said the 3D technology will make it easier to detect breast cancer with a less invasive procedure. Hospital trustees Mary Gail Biebel and Dr. V.
