Patricia Mitsopoulos reports in The Mountain Journal that Jefferson, in Schoharie County, currently has a solar moratorium, as commercial solar farms are poised to crop up everywhere because of a state mandate for cleaner energy. Monolith Solar from Rensselaer spoke to the Jefferson town board at a recent meeting, explaining how the company is looking to buy property for solar panels.
