Catskill student arrested for threat

Columbia-Greene Media reports that a Catskill High School student was arrested Oct. 24 by state police for allegedly threatening on Snapchat to "shoot up the school." The threat was made after school on Oct. 24. Catskill School Superintendent Ronel Cook said, “At no time were Catskill Central School District students or staff in jeopardy,” Cook said. “Our armed security staff was put on notice as a precaution.” Authorities are not releasing the name of the student because they are a minor.
