Hudson Valley airports receive stimulus funds

MidHudsonNews [dot] com is reporting the FAA announced April 14, that airports in the Hudson Valley will receive a total of $30.3 million in stimulus money as part of the federal CARES Act, which was approved by Congress in March. The funds will be used for enhanced unemployment benefits and pandemic unemployment assistance for state residents. Among the airports to receive funds: Columbia County Airport in Ghent, $69,000; Orange County in Montgomery, $69,000; New York Stewart International in Newburgh, $6.44 million; and, Hudson Valley Regional in Wappinger, $30,000.
